Ruth is a Post-Doctoral Research Associate and co-leads Work Package 5. Her research focuses on the politics of environmental knowledge during science-policy interaction. Intersecting environmental governance, political theory and science and technology studies, her research unpacks questions of values, legitimacy and power during the making and circulation of environmental knowledge. Ruth holds a Fellowship with the Global Urban Research Unit at Newcastle University, where she is researching digital algorithmic tools and interfaces developed for climate policy and planning practitioners. This research critically analyses implications of knowing and acting on climate change through digital registers. Drawing on her former policy background Ruth has published on research impact and has provided academic consultancy and training around approaches to Impact in the UK. She co-leads the projects’ work package 5: Impact and Engagement.
