Professor Ana Díaz Aldret

Ana is the project’s PI in Mexico and co-leads Work Packages 1 and 4. She holds a PhD in Sociology from the University of Guadalajara. She is a member of Mexico’s National Researchers System (Level II). Before joining CIDE in 2011, she worked as a full time lecturer and researcher at the Universidad Autónoma de Querétaro (Autonomous University of Querétaro). Her research has explored diverse themes, such as: democratisation and citizen participation; social capital; political culture and culture of lawfulness, and she has published numerous articles, book chapters and books on these topics.
